Dawson

                                                            ~ Dawson ~

                                                              1998-2011

It’s with a very heavy heart that I post this entry. My camera trapping partner passed away Sunday afternoon. As those of you that have followed my blog know Dawson was my constant companion in my camera trapping hobby. He liked nothing better than to hop in my old blue pickup and hang his head out the window as we rolled down the road. Checking the cameras was high adventure for him with all of the different sounds and scents he came across in the fields and forests we explored. I think my wife summed it up best….”He had as good a life as a dog could have. He lived like a King.”

Rest in peace buddy. You are sadly missed.

Oh my God, Joe. I'm SO SORRY!!! I saw the title of your post, and I was hoping to see photos of Dawson checking out the trail cams. I'm caught off guard and I'm crying right now for your loss... NOTHING beats a good dog.

So sorry for your loss. Our oldest dog passed away last year nad it broke our hearts. I know Dawson must have been just like family. Ours are to us.

Very sorry to hear that, Joe.

Dogs really do become part of the family. Ours is getting up there and I dread the day he passes.

Peace be with Dawson and your family.

Oh Joe,

I'm so sorry to hear about Dawson. Dogs are the truly the best. They fill our hearts with good by just being around and when they leave they leave big holes but when it comes down to it, I think we are better for having known them.

My thoughts are with you and yours.
Take care,
Kari

So sorry :(

Our pets really do touch our hearts and become a huge part of our lives. We lost our Lab in June. We said we wouldn't get another dog for a long time (we were heart broken). But, we found we couldn't stand not having a dog around...2 weeks later we paid a visit to the pound and brought home a new friend.

Sorry to hear about your Dawson. Looks like he lived like a king to me! Dogs just don't live long enough for us... I hope one day you find another camera trapping buddy, but until then enjoy all your memories of Dawson!
