Tuff Battle and Gray Fox

Another tuff battle between the deer and raccoons.  I like the way they keep eyeing each other. Then the deer and gray fox just seem to ignore each other.

Pretty unusual group in close quarters. Checking each other out. Love seeing this world you bring to us!

Hey Joe, those racoons circling round the deer sure is funny, like they could get to eat whatever the stare down was about from behind her..Come to think of it,what were they eating as there is a fox in the pic too??

I'm betting the deer and coons are battling over the same mushroom?

The fox must have different tastes...

Great shots, Joe. Always love coming here to see what's going on in your world. :)

Raccoons are mean and I bet that poor deer thought he was going to come after him! Love seeing that fox.

I've missed visiting your blog. I'm so glad that the triplets are OK, and I love all your cub photos. I'm a real sucker for bears and cubs! In my neck of the woods, we have one very dominant sow, and I never see any sows with cubs besides her. She's the one with twins this year.

The interaction between the deer and fox is fascinating! I wouldn't have thought that the deer would pay any attention to a fox... but that's why trail cams are so much fun - they surprise me all the time!
