Gray Fox

Sort of a rare series for me of a Gray Fox in the daytime. Most of the pics I get of the Gray Foxes is at night.

I've actually seen them in our backyard (late June/Early July) at about 10 am with pups.

They must be working over time to get food these days.....

I get kind of an eerie feeling watching him. Not sure why.

Hi Y'all,

There used to be one that came out to the edge of the woods and watched the horses exercise in the early morning. Later it brought pups with it. Then a couple of years later it disappeared. Maybe the fox hunters got it.

Y'all come by now,
BrownDog's Human

Interesting to see him out and about during the day.

My husband used to sit for hours in the woods at night waiting for the foxes to appear, or the groundhogs, or other nighttime creatures whose names I only know in French now! :(

My faves are the red fox, though, because they look so sly and cocky.

oooo, I wonder if he has the "rabies" or something.

Our wildlife guys told me it's very common for them to be out in the daytime, but they stay well away from human eyes in most cases. Plus, with kits to feed..they are hunting far more often.

Wow, its always nice to check your blog, it often gives us a surprise. We don't usually have an opportunity seeing a grey fox. Thanks Joe.

We used to see red foxes when we first moved here, but haven't seen any for a few years now.

This one is beautiful.
