Five Things I Can’t Leave Home Without

Theresa aka TexWis Girl at The Run*A*Round Ranch tagged me to name five things I can’t leave home without. She was looking to get a guy point of view on this. I wasn’t sure when I first thought about this if I had five things I always take with me. But low and behold I actually do :).

1. Keys – While I’ve cut back on the number of keys on my key ring I still have too many. The newer auto keys are also waaay too big.

2. Wallet – Drivers license, plastic, lint, etc. It’s not like I actually have any money.

3. Pocket Knife – I’ve carried a knife since I was in elementary school. Luckily I went to elementary school back in the day when this was still considered normal.

4. Pocket Watch – I don’t wear jewelry and have carried a pocket watch for years. Really don’t need it since the addition of #5 but old habits die hard.

5. Cell Phone – I’m not much of a cell phone user but they’re handy for emergencies or for people that think they just have to talk to me immediately.

I was going to have clothes as the #1 but I figured that must be a given ;). LOL!! They do still frown upon running around naked in my part of Virginia.

If you ran around naked, you would have to hand-carry all the other stuff!!! That would be so inconvenient! #3 cracked me up - I'm old enough to remember "normal" too...

#4 surprised me. That's neat. I like that old habit.

Thanks for playing along!!! But (like the cartoon you used) I felt certain your dog would be one of the things! Poor pup has to stay home sometimes, I suppose.

I have been tagged as well, but doubt that my items will be as interesting. I don't carry a pocket knife or a pocket watch!

I guess that your cell phone has a camera? After having my best ever mountain lion encounter while driving down our road, I *never* leave home without a camera (I didn't have one that day, and the cat and I stared at each other for a couple of minutes). His tail was twitching like he was thinking about whether I might make a good meal but I was safe inside my car!

I don't know.... I kind of like the pre-fall bareness. Heck, if you live back in the woods of Virginia, you might as well enjoy it! :D

I was going to comment, but after reading the comment from Texwis, and laughing my fanny off, I forgot what I was going to say! So I will just add to her's that when you're naked, you got no pockets for all that stuff! lol
