Raccoons vs Deer
With the start of football the last couple of weeks it reminded me of some pics I got last fall. Looked like to me that the raccoons and deer were lining up against each other for a game. Sorry, I don't have the final score.
Thanks all. I'm putting my money on the raccoons too. They never seem to back down from anything. I live trapped a big boar that had been tearing down the corn in the garden last year and he was right down vicious. I made sure I didn’t get any body part against the cage. I’m sure he would have taken a chunk out of me. I wasn’t sure what was going to happen when I took him up in the mountain to release him. I put Dawson in the cab of the truck and had my pistol ready when I opened the cage. Luckily as soon as I opened the door he took off out through the woods and didn’t even look back.
Great cam pix of the deer and raccoons...love it. I would have had my gun ready too when I let that boar out...I have seen them in the woods and could not get a shot on one in the MS Delta. Husband got him one last Dec and I hope to get me one this time. I have also heard them while on the deer stand hunting at Rex's Christmas Place Hunting Club where we have hunted. Check out his blog when you have time...it's a fun read and he's my good friend and mentor as well. http://bodocktimes.blogspot.com (Deer Camp Blog)

These are some funny shots. We caught a photo of one raccoon on our trailcam a few days ago.
What a great scrimmage! Love your wildlife shots!
Those are just fabulous pictures! Knowing raccoons, I would place my bet on them.
