Big Coyote
I thought I'd have either some bear or coyote pics today when I checked my camera and Dawson's nose went into overdrive around the area. Turned out to be a coyote and a big one. Only got one pic of him. I posted the coyote pic and a pic of Dawson in about the same location to compare size. Last time at the vet Dawson weighted 50lbs. This coyotes looks to be a little more stocky and about the same size as Dawson so I'm guessing it would weight between 55 to 60 lbs. That's a pretty big coyote for this area.

We have a plethora of coyotes on our farm and surrounding area. A black one was killed on our farm. They have been spotted circling the ridge around our property. I think they are interesting, but they have caused us some trouble. Nice pic.
We're getting more and more too. Haven't heard of any of the black phase around here. I'll bet the black is pretty.
Hey thanks for visiting our neck of the woods...enjoy looking at your camera photos - hubby just put the card back in the camera today so hopefully something new (or that bear shows up again) to post in the future! Great blogging idea!
Thanks Country Girl. I enjoyed your blog. I like seeing what other folks having going on in their neck of the woods...the snow mobiles are neat. I've really gotten hooked on the trail cameras. Hope you post some of yours in your blog.
Yes I would say that is one big coyote.

I wouldn't be happy at all to meet any in private! But, if I were the Road Runner there would be no problem! :-))
Meda, I got a chuckle out of your post. I'd never even thought about the Road Runner...LOL. I'm with you though. I'll just as soon leave him to the Road Runner.
I was going stay away from blogs and rest today, but when I saw Coyote, you know I had to check it out. It looks big to me too.
Just found and started to follow your blog. I love trail cam pics, so I look forward to keeping up with your post. Feel free to stop by blog and check out my little part of the internet.
Thanks Canyon Girl. I thought you'd like the coyote. Hope your doctor visit went well.
Thanks Trey and welcome to the blog. I've really gotten hooked on the trail cams. They get me out in the woods and fields year round and I enjoy the pics of the different wildlife.
That is a big coyote! We have so many coyotes around here. We mainly hear them and not see them.
I love the idea of your wildlife camera. We have thought about one here but just haven't gotten around to it.
Enjoyed looking at your pictures.

Have a good day.
