Man-Eating Tiger and the Coldest

I know a strange combination but humor me. First I saw an interesting article today about a man-eating Tiger in India. The ones of you that have followed me know I’m fascinated about stories of man-eater and have a large collection of vintage hunting books by men who have hunted them. This story really caught my eye because of where it was occurring…in the Jim Corbett National Park located in north central India. Corbett is one of my favorite writers on the subject of man-eating tigers and leopards. Here is a link to the story….Man-Eating Tiger. So if you’re having a bad day think about how much worst it could be running into a 500 lb. cat that is going to eat you.

Now for the coldest. The following pics are from a couple of weeks ago but they are the coldest temperature I have recorded on my trail cameras…2°F. The deer herd up in the cold weather and travel in groups. This group of does were being followed by a small buck.

Love the golden light! Too bad it was so cold. Hope we don't get quite as much snow as they're talking about!

Sounds like a pretty smart tigress also. Nice winter deer shots.

We're hoping for a break in this frigid weather -- great trail cam shots of the deer.
