Snowy Weather

We haven’t had any really big snow falls yet this winter. Just several 2-4 inch ones. The snow lasts several days and then melts away. But I always seem to get some good shots of the deer in the snow when it does happen. Hope everyone had a great holiday season.

Little fork horn buck.

Chasing does. The second rut usually hits around the end of December.

This one looks to be more hungry than interested in does

Nice daytime shots. I always like seeing the young deer. Or maybe they all just look young : ) I look forward to seeing more of your photos this year.

Lots of deer! I bet they're glad for the clear ground.

You get some fabulous pictures! I was near Wintergreen Resort last week and my kids and I kept remarking how much bigger and "healthier" the deer look than those in Tidewater. I'm guessing it has to do with all the construction around us these days, there just isn't enough forage.
That 4th photo down has it all, awesome light, a great expression on the deer, the texture of the snow and the brambles. really cool.
