Twin Cubs

Momma bear and the twins showed up at the camera about a hour after I checked it last week. The lighting was such that in the first part of the pics the cameras used the IR mode to take the pics and when later switched to the nonflash color mode. If you look close at the two pics before the last one of the cub standing on the log you'll see it rolling around on the far side of the log.

LOL! love him rolling on his back with his little snout up in the air. mama bear looks a bit thin. guess keeping up with twins would do that to a woman... :)

I always wondered if you guys get nervous when you go in and check your cams when there are bears around. Especially if there is a mother with cubs. Do you carry a gun when you go in and check your cam?

Hi Y'all,

Great bear catch. They are so cute when they are cubs.

Drought is everywhere it seems. Hope we get some coastal tropical storm moisture.

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

That sure is a fun and interesting log. What kind of food do you put out?

Dang, Joe, you're gettin' lots of youngsters on camera! Very cool shots! Apparently, we have a bear near the cabin again. He/she tore a pack off the adjoining neighbor's ATV one day. I guess they had food in it at one point.

I love how gentle bears become to their own cubs, though vicious with outsiders! Reminds me of myself as a young mother! :D

I am terrified of bears, but seeing pictures of the little cubs is priceless. I love seeing the little one rolling around on his back.

Great series of bear pictures. It's always fun seeing them and this must be an extra special thrill when the cubs come over to play.

The bears sure do love that log! The cubs' ears are hilariously huge, and I laughed about the rolling around behind the log!
