Triplets

I’ve been seeing this doe and her three fawns in the hayfields this summer but didn’t get any pictures of them until last week. I think I read somewhere that only 10% of births are triplets and I think that estimate may be high for my area. It’s been several years since I’ve seen a doe with triplets.

Earning Our Keep

Thought I’d post some pics of the hunting crew helping to harvest the corn crop over Labor Day weekend on the farm we hunt on . I had to go back to work Tuesday to get some rest:). This farm is also where most of my trail cam pics come from. Most of us have been friends since high school and have been lucky that our buddy happens to own and operate a dairy farm in a great hunting area. We like to think we help earn our keep by helping out on the farm when we can. If you have a farmer that lets you hunt on their farm offer to help out occasionally. The farmer may not be comfortable enough to let you run their equipment but there are always plenty of other things to do. Most of our hunting crew has run farm equipment since we were teenagers but I don’t think our farmer buddy is still too sure about us sometimes…lol.

Fawn Posing

I think this fawn likes posing for pictures. Note the temperature! It was sorching hot here last week.

Bear Strolling

Looks like he's out for a evening walk.
