This is probably my last post before Christmas so I'd like to said thank you all for following my blog and Merry Christmas to you and your families.
Here's the awesome drawing Theresa did. I actually was smiling. My beard kind of covered it up :).
Cobbled together a few of the better pics from last week. Got a glance of a bear and a fox at the mountain pond. A small four point buck at the power line. And another legion of raccoons in the Little Woods. I'm beginning to think we need to start coon hunting instead of deer hunting :).

thanks for explaining you were smiling! would have never guessed!!! glad you like the duck!!! :)
merry christmas, dear joe!
Yes! That is a ton of raccoons! I am hitting the after Christmas sales for a trail cam to put in the wash that runs through my property. I am excited to see what I get. Will probably be mostly coyotes.
I wanted that picture! But if I couldn't have it - glad you got it. That is just too many raccoons. I really like the young deer's antlers.
That looks like an entire extended family of raccoons! Nice drawing you won!
Yes, that raccoon herd needs to be thinned ;) Happy Holidays!
Those raccoons always make me smile! 03:45 in the morning here and getting ready for another road trip to Belfast! Theresa is a lady of many talents, stunning picture! Merry Christmas to you and your family Joe!

And a Merry Christmas to you!
I've been wanting to win one of her drawings forever - you are lucky!
Whoa - that is a load of raccoons!!!
I think you have a racoon problem. :) Not sure I have ever seen that many in one place.
That is an awesome wood duck drawing. Congrats on winning it.
Thanks for sharing a link to Theresa's blog. Lots of outdoor photos. Love it.
I've heard it called the "camera trapping blues". I have a lot of cams out in the woods right now, and you got more photos than I did! I think that the animals all flee my neck of the woods when the snow is more than a foot deep!
That's a beautiful drawing that you won! Merry Christmas to you too, and thanks for following my blog!
Congratulations, Joe! That's a beautiful wood duck!
Merry Christmas you to and yours!
Merry Christmas, Joe!
A bear and a gray fox in the same week is a success, if you ask me!
Hi, new here. I've done so much blog surfing the past week, that I don't remember which blog led me to yours.
Question: The raccoons seem to really love the pickings around that old stump. Any idea what they're foraging for? Grubs, acorns,???
Hey CeeCee. Thanks for stopping by. They're after acorns. I have three huge oak trees whose limbs spread out over my shop. The acorns pile up when they fall off the roof. I rake them up and then put some out in front of my trail cameras.
Congrats Joe Tex sure is talented.
You certainly do have a lot of coons. I have been seeing deer and wild turkeys and now we have another problem I am watching for fishers yes I had only seen one twice since farming but can you believe one killed our one day old calf the other day, never thought that would happen. I think I need a bush cam to see what is really going on back their yes we are sure it was a fisher I scared it off.
Merry Christmas Joe to you and your family. B
