Small Buck

Another slow week for the camera traps. The big bucks are still AWOL from the cameras. I know they're still around from having seen two last week as we were finishing the corn chopping. It's funny to watch the deer come out into a field that has just been chopped and stand looking around. They're probably thinking where the heck did all of our corn go.  I did get this small buck last week. One thing I really like about the Covert camera is it takes great night time pics.

New Camera

As I mentioned in an earlier post I was in the market for a new camera since the flood killed my Moultrie. I'd done a lot of research and had pretty much settled on a Scoutguard. Ian over at The Wild Life asked if I'd looked at the Covert cameras. He said he had used and liked them. Somehow in all my research I'd completely miss the Covert brand. After checking them out and finding a great deal on one I went with the Covert Reveal. All I can said is that I'm pleased especially for a $120 trail camera. The Reveal has a fantastic flash and gets great color night pics. THANKS for the tip Ian.

Below is the first set off the camera. The spots in the first pics are where the bear just has to stick it's nose against the camera before the first pics were taken.
