But it gets better. I left work early today to catch up on my mowing. I got back to the hunting cabin early enough that I could get it mowed just before it got dark. As I was leaving at dusk I stopped to close the gate and stepped out of my truck. As I did I noticed something move right under my feet. Always being the observant one I figured it was a snake. It turned out to not just be any snake but a Copperhead. Fortunately for me, unfortunately for the snake the front tire had run over it's head or I'm pretty sure I would be at the hospital right now instead of making this post. So no I've not had a good week.
Hopefully I can make this post without any major calamities occurring. The first four pics are from a camera one of my buddies give me that had the display fail so the time, date , and location are not correct but it still takes pics. The last two are from the Reveal camera that I moved to my problem area. It appeared to have solved the white out problem. None of the pics I've gotten from it the last two weeks have had a whiteout problem.
Got a busy day tomorrow so I hopefully can get to check on all of my favorite blogs Sunday. Hope all of you have had a better week than me. Later :).

sorry you've had a crappy week! the weather woes you had to go in to would make anyone's work terrible, but the reason for your work is too sad...
copperhead? yeah, thankfully the ones that have gotten bit here have always been my poor canines. and they have come out of it okay.
the cub standing straight up in the first shot is adorable! and that turkey is beautiful! sorry your cam is now confirmed to have an issue. what a pain...
have a better couple of days ahead!
Great picture of the cubs tussling.
I love that first photo of the cub standing so straight. Never have figured out the purpose of a beard on a turkey. You can only go up from here/hell right?
Man...sorry about your week Joe!
Also glad you didn't get bit (although it is always sad when a Copperhead dies).
The Reveal seems like it's working better for you. My Bushnell Trophy Cams are still giving me white-out problems, so that's one up for the Reveal!
At least you didn't get bitten by the Copperhead. Oh my, what a week!!!
I especially love the cub photos. First, there's the single one standing up looking at mom, and then, the very best one is the two cubs standing up and wrestling. I love it!
Sorry about having to shut down another plant. I hope they all find work soon too! Loved these pics, the one of the turkey is almost just as nice as the bears. Glad you drove over the copperhead's head before you stepped on it!!! Have a great weekend Joe!
I do hope this coming week is better for you. I like the pic of the two bears playing.
I hate to hear that, Joe. It's always difficult when folks lose their jobs. Even more so given the current state of unemployment.
You are fortunate indeed not to have stepped on that copperhead! Lady Luck was on your side.
I love the picture of the two cubs playing! I think the turkey was posing just a bit. LOL
Sorry for such a bad week ... and sorry for the folks who have lost jobs.
Guess your luck was running good that the copperhead was dead when you stepped on him!
Love the cubs!
They say it always gets worse before it gets better. I still keep hoping it gets better and I hope your end does as well.
I do like you pics though, keep them coming.
Those cubs look familiar....except that mine come in the form of 3 brothers.
Sorry about your week...hope this one is better! SO very glad the snake incident didn't turn into a further nightmare!!!!
Wow great pics. It is very hard to watch people lose their jobs I hate that.
I am so glad the snake was taken care of lucky you.
Take care things get better after they get worse I think. B
Outstanding pics -- makes me want to get a trail cam...
Beautiful deer shots.
God bless.
